“ Really enjoyed our meal here! Their patio is decked out with string lights and is overlooking a pond and is really relaxing at night. Their menu is huge and really delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their burgers, mac and cheese pizza, fish tacos, French fries, and fried mozz appetizer. They also have a huge drink menu and a great selection of beer. The restaurant wasn't super busy, but I was still really impressed with how quickly the food came out. The service was also really impressive. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated immediately. Following this, our server was great - I forget his name, but I wish I could commend him for a job well done. He was prompt, checked in on us an appropriate amount, and was able to answer all our questions. My one complaint about this place is the parking situation. It's nestled on the corner of a really busy street and their parking lot is really small. It seemed like they offered a valet option, but there were just cars parked down the side of the street. Not the biggest deal, but the street isn't well lit. ”
“ We stopped in on Thursday night after a late ending high school baseball game, starving and cold. What better way to chase the chill than a Maker's Mark Manhattan - one of the best one's I've had anywhere ($14). Joyce had a great glass of Dancing Bull Sauvignon Blanc ($10.75). We started with fried calamari ($11.99) which was excellent and came with a great dipping sauce. Our server, Jessica, was happy to bring some cocktail sauce at our request, too - she was an ace all night. I went for the Bacon Burger ($12.99) which was great served on a slightly buttered and toasted bun - perfect. Joyce went for the short rib grilled cheese ($14.99) and it was a comfort food winner and Luke was the beneficiary of finishing off the other half she couldn't finish when we got home. We were served quickly but not rushed. Please is inviting. Can't go wrong here. ”
“ I this place. Wings, dips,& Salads too Die for !! I would defiantly come back again. John D. ”
“ This is probably the fourth Wood-n-Tap I've reviewed, but here comes another one. My friends and I had dinner here a few months ago during a Geeks Who Drink trivia night. While our trivia performance went down in flames, we enjoyed a surprisingly good meal here. I've had uneven food at different Wood-n-Taps over the years, but I had no complaints about our tuna wonton special or the mac and cheese pizza. I was really skeptical about ordering tuna from a bar restaurant, but the tuna was actually delicious. The sauce it was tossed in was spicy, savory, and addictive. The mac and cheese pizza was cheesy decadence. I could feel my scale weeping with every bite, but I kept going back for more. An app and a pizza was more than enough food for two girls. We were stuffed and even left with a couple of leftover slices. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, not the easiest task when I'm ultra-focused on trivia. The only downside is parking. The parking is almost nonexistent at this location. I didn't realize they offered free valet service and ended up parking far down the road along the side of the street. Other than that, I really like this location and would return for other trivia nights, or just for happy hour with friends. ”
“ This restaurant was very accommodating for our impromptu family reunion. I was able to call ahead and reserve us seating. Although we did have to wait for twenty minutes to get a larger table, they did give us the option of sitting right away at a smaller table. The food was good and came out quickly. We had a lovely time chatting and enjoying dinner. We did not feel rushed in any way. Thank you to the staff for making our dinner memorable. ”
“ Great food and beer! Parking here is a bit of a drag, but restaurant is located right on route 4 just a short drive from I84. They have several locations, including Silas Deane hwy in Rocky Hill and Plainville, CT. Great beer and liquor selection, and a pretty extensive menu that includes delicious entrees for every diet and palette. There are bar apps / food options as well, so if you're looking to eat less formal it's an option. Wait time varies with day / business, but I've never had a bad meal here. ”
